Benjamin is not the Benjamin...

.

The new engine Benjamin by Ed Schröder https://www.rebel13.nl/home/benjamin.html is certainly not the big hit in tournament chess.

But in certain positions it shows everyone else how chess works...

The solution is ... 37... Rg4+, but this is difficult for:

Eman: >30sec.
Stockfish: >30sec.
Komodo: >30sec.
Houdini: >30sec.
(Ryzen7-8CPU)

But no problem for Benjamin 1.1:

Schwarz hat minimalen Vorteil: = (-0.25) Tiefe: 21 00:04:44 919MN

Benjamin is certainly an asset to the engine scene.

Usually the piece constellation RBN vs QB (opposite-colored bishops) is able to put up some resistance. Mainly because often, it's not easy for the white bishop to trade off the knight if that piece is posted on different color, in addition to the bishop that can't be used as a trading partner.

Benjamin 1.1 is out?

Interesting…

I’m wondering if it’s possible to combine Benjamin with Rebelfish so that the fish is guarding Benjamin and not ProDeo.

Lc0 outplays SF as black. Even if SF use 0 and negative contempt.
