Get the LucasChess GUI, it allows you to set maximum depth for engines regardless of time control, plus it comes with many "for kids" chess personalities that play weaker than anything at depth 1, with strength escalation.

My theory is that FIDE Elo inflation eventually trickles up toward the top echelon, and the 2200 human of today could indeed be uninflated and much stronger than the counterpart of 20-30 years ago, when there was inflation being fed into the system through the very same 2000-2200 FIDE lower layer, with those players getting FIDE ratings based on only peak (and not average) performances.

Speaking of FIDE rating inflation, it appears to me that it has slowed down during the past decade.
That's also my theory, and it's clear that FIDE ratings have not been inflating in the last few years even at the top. I am convinced (as you are) that 2200 FIDE players today are indeed stronger than 30 years ago, the question is how much stronger? I've dropped about 200 elo during that period, and while some of it is probably due to this deflation, I don't claim to be as strong now at age 72 as I was 30 years ago (or more). Maybe half is aging and half is deflation?
Larry you are a very strong player for your age 72, https://www.denkerchess.com/wp-content/ ... ndings.pdf who seems to be the strongest of this tournament this year ? ==> https://new.uschess.org/senior

chess.com crashed during the final round, so I'm not sure of all the final results, but I believe GM Alex Fishbein took clear first and I think I tied for second place, quite a surprise for me given that there were several GMs all rated well above me. I'm US number 3 over age 70 now, Boris Gulko is number 1.

Show me where I can get it?
Here:

https://lucaschess.pythonanywhere.com/

Hover over Downloads, click Installable.

After installation, click Tools > Engines > External Engines. Then click New and select your exe file, it'll allow you to configure all its settings.

After it's installed, click Play > Play against engine of your choice. In this new window you'll be able to set the engine to fixed depth, while the human's clock is set independently.

Thanks, but how do I get rid off, or turn off Lucas suggestions after every move, I do NOT want to see those suggestions at all, since it take some seconds out of my Time Control to answer after every single move.

Options > Tutor > Untick Tutor enabled.

You may also want to go to Board and untick Show cursor when engine is thinking.

This game was played under the shredder8 GUI at Depth 5, I learned a new effective Opening Just by watching Jorge played against Komodo the 2....Nf6, But Shredder8 Opening chose a different variation Anyway here it is.

This game was played under Lucas Gui at Depth 6 time control Blitz: 10'+5. I just finished reading the Complete Chess Swindler by GM David Smerdon, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUFRVLjHbeM&t=457s it was a great book to read, and when you play versus humans you might find yourself in a lost position that if you have patience to find the correct move you might save a lost game, remember that playing versus humans there are factors that does NOT apply to playing versus engines for instance fatigue, over confidence by the player that is winning, and in most cases when you are winning you are NOT that careful and simply make the obvious move which might NOT give you the secure win if you are playing versus a swindler. Some people are self learner and even become GM by just reading Chess Books https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7m9QDdxRjv8 , I am NOT that gifted, therefore, I purchase Books recommended by my Online chess Coach and I am still receiving chess Lessons online

We all know why Stockfish is soo strong, because it is the Program that reaches the highest depth withing a certain time control, but has anybody done a 100 match games between Komodo vs Stockfish with depth set to 22 or 24 ?
I have a curious question to Larry Kaufman, Why is it that Komodo is limited to a maximum Skill 25 and NOT 30? I am pretty sure that on very fast computer like your or the one used by TCEC it could reach a Depth of 17 or Skill = 30.
