Sure no one here can beat this simple free smartphone engine!

Post by S.Taylor » Sun Aug 02, 2020 12:34 am

I havn't sparred with chess computers for some time now.
But i just found and downloaded this engine on my android, and it seems unbelievably strong even on instant level.
It's from chess.com
I'd be interested if anyone has experience with it.
But i would also like challenge any human here to win one game against it on instant, level 25, taking as long as you like with your own moves. And i give you up to 10 chances to achieve that!
The challenge is to win one game out of ten!

I'm sure this engine, for your pocket android, and free, is way way stronger than the monster deeper blue that beat kasparov in 1997.

I have no idea which engine is behind, but I played against SF fixed depth 10 and SF lost after some struggle. Than I tried SF depth 16 and it totally mopped the floor with chess.com app engine level 25.
Somehow I don't think that SF depth 16 would easily beat Carlsen or Kasparov. SF depth 16 makes on average around 2M nodes per move in opening. Around 10000 times less nodes than what Deep Blue was evaluating per move in opening.

Stockfish will NOT, but Komodo at Depth 11 which is Skill 24 will; I believe that SF at different Depths does NOT play as well a Komodo. Where can I download this App?

Here is a game between Stockfish at Depth 11 Versus Komodo13.3 at Depth 11 which is Skill = 24 Stockfish was running out of time and lost on time

I believe that Stockfish lost because it was running out of time, but even if the Queen get trapped Komodo would still had the better game

Sorry friend but you have serious issues. You run fixed depth match and one of the engines looses on time???
And you are not even aware on how many levels is that wrong...
