New overclocking tools with GeForce Experience 3.20.5 Beta

Post by Laskos »

The latest NVIDIA drivers seem to be necessary too with your RTX GPUs.

GeForce Experience 3.20.5 Beta now adds a new "Performance" panel, which allows you to monitor and tune your GPU with a single click. For RTX 30 and RTX 20 class desktop GPUs, there’s a new automatic tuner which finds the best overclock settings using a scanning algorithm, and manages your GPU tuning profile for you. Access this panel by pressing [Alt+Z] and clicking on "Performance" tile. To enable this beta feature, click "Settings" > "Enable experimental features."

With RTX 2070 GPU, I just improved (with the same max T of about 78 Celsius) the old bench result with v26.3 CUDA Lc0 engine and J92-190 net of 10,600 nps to the automatic tuner overclock result of 11,600 nps. The improvement versus the old manual overclock with Lc0 seems to be almost 10%, and versus no overclock about 25% in speed.

Thanks for this heads up!

Maybe it would be interesting to see your overclock result with 2070 Super. Earlier bench with v26.3 CUDA and the same J92-190 net were 22knps with 2080 Ti and 30.6knps with 3090.

Ah, no multi-GPU tuning. :(
