Sting 25 is an alpha-beta engine with my original idea for such projects: "The Black Hole".
How it works? I used "a gravity of VALUE ZERO" to help to get a proper move(s) in "zero" and fortress positions mainly.

So if i understand your project well : After say 1 or 2 moves with 0 evaluation score by Stockfish it could sometimes find a way out if it was shifting to your "Gravity of Value Zero" build ?

The value Zero is like "a black hole" in alpha-beta searching. Sometimes engines try to win a position but we can see, step by step, only the value zero. But sometimes engines return a too high value, and there is a draw fortrees only. My idea increases or decreases in a special way "a gravity" of this "black hole" and thus searching can try return the correct move and a better value. Indeed Stockfish 2.1.1 as the base engine for my project Sting is not too fortunate solution.
But, it gives me a mental comfort.
The main goal of my work is to prove that a chess (alpha-beta) engine is able, without some dirty tricks or external tools or selective code or artifical intelligence, to solve all positions from the above-mentioned "IQ" test.
I believe that it is possible to do (implement) it without any ELO loss too.
Moreover, it is very important to know and understand that many positions (long solutions) should be solving by playing (auto-playing) not searching.
But, it gives me a mental comfort.
