Tough Position

Post by MikeGL »

My cousin sent this position on facebook messenger,
he said his 64-bit SF on an 8-core machine cannot solve this position.

R6R/PBP3P1/1P3N1P/8/n5p1/BpQ1q2p/p1pn1Nb1/rk1K2nr b - - 0 1

I tried it on my machine too, but up to now cannot crunch it.
What does your SF think.
I told my wife that a husband is like a fine wine; he gets better with age. The next day, she locked me in the cellar.

Are you sure this is the correct FEN ? White's King is checked by the Pawn on c2, and it's Black to move...

The position is flipped. Actually black is not in check, it's going up the board. Stockfish crashes because of this.

Off topic: FEN: R6R/PBP3P1/1P3N1P/8/6p1/Bpn1q2p/p1pn1Nb1/rk1K2nr w - - 0 2

Thanks for the reply.
Mystery solved. Wrong position.
I told my wife that a husband is like a fine wine; he gets better with age. The next day, she locked me in the cellar.
