This will depend on the CPU of the cell phone. Some cell phone CPU's are very comparable to desktop CPU's. In my case with my cell phone S20 Ultra. Running a single core for the engine on both desktop and phone. The gap will be much much less then 200 Elo or even 100 Elo.

I have seen with all cores running on my smart phone 8 cores. I am faster then some quad core desktop CPU's

We have a benchmark for mobile phones.

I wonder if SD 888 is really faster then 865.

I have my doubts.

Innovative CPU progress comes in the Moment from Kirin, Mediatek and exynos and apple.

Snapdragon / Qualcomm seems to be in a depression.

Most certainly, most high end phones will see 800 to 1000k/nps with SF NNUE based engine, that would be around 30 to 40% of a recent single core CPU. Clearly less than 200 Elo difference.

I have a 180$ Chinese phone Xiaomi Redme Note 8 Pro with a mediocre CPU for current standards and I get 1565knps from a starting position with latest SF NNUE Droidfish. I'd expect most of high-end phones would actually be well over 2Mnps.

That would surprise me — are you using one thread/core as indicated? Please double check your settings. Using one thread with NNUE enabled.
