Evaluation graph in TCEC

Post by egiovannotti »

I have noticed how the maximum value of the evaluation graph in TCEC varies widely during the game. I think that a scale that maintains the fixed range would be a better way to graph the evaluations, doing it in that way the "precision and detail" with which the graph is displayed would always be the same.
An implementation could be as follows (where "x" is the actual evaluation):

Code: Select all

y = x, for x <1
y = 1 + log2 (x), for x> = 1

Finally it would be rounded to two decimal places.

There are already bazillions of options you can change for the graphs live and immediately. Just rightclick on the graph... (log eval is there too)

Also suggestions for TCEC, ... well are best placed at TCEC. Here it will do nothing at all.
