Different scoring system for comp-comp games

Post by Uri Blass »

The idea is the following:

You play a match of 2N games from the opening position between engine A and engine B.
In the first N games engine A has to win(meaning that a draw is counted as a point for B) and in the second N games engine B has to win(meaning that a draw is counted as a point for A).

The main question is how often the side that needs to win is going to win if you use the opening position or balanced positions and not positions that the TCEC use.

You can use also the default versions of the top programs that do not know about the rules but I guess that some modification of them should get better results in these conditions.
