As a suggestion, if someone has an accusation of wrongdoing, why not send a friendly question to the person you suspect of doing something wrong?
I can save a lot of "HE SAID!" ... "SHE SAID!"

BTW, Ed Schroder is the last person on earth I would suspect of malevolent wrongdoing.
Taking ideas is not a vice, it is a virtue. We have another word for this. It is called learning.
But sharing ideas is an even greater virtue. We have another word for this. It is called teaching.

WOW ! There are a bunch of credible and honorable web pages talking about the status of such a classic chess program (like Fritz 5.32 is). Just an example-the nice site of Andreas Frank Vogt:

https://www.scacchi64.com/computer_frit ... ramma.html

Fritz 5.32 works perfectly under Windows 10. Other engines that can be used on this GUI are: Fritz 6 & Crafty 23.01 (native CB version) comming with ChessBase Light 2009 - also available for free from the old ChessBase site - using WaybackMachine:

If I'm wrong, the moderators can delete my post at any time.

That's a bit two faced isn't it?

First you allow the slander, secondly legal links are removed as illegal confirming the slander.

Last, you delete my defense against the slander.

Nice self serving moderation.

But never mind.

If you cannot 'defend against slander' without violating the charter... Then indeed, your 'defense' will be removed.

Let me explain it so that even an idiot can understand:

We have a charter that forbids uncivilised behavior, and moderators to enforce that charter.
So material that violates the charter, will be moderated away.
And links to such material posted elsewhere will be moderated away.

If you cannot keep your own forum clean of libelous attacks, just do not post stuff you want us to see there.

pozzo-balbi wrote: Wed Feb 03, 2021 5:30 pm They were not links to the questionable programs but the website of Mr. Ed Schröder, present and in archive.org. Why did ChessBase not ask Mr. Ed Schröder or the hoster one.com A/S, Denmark to remove those links? I want copyright to be respected, that's why I started this thread. But self-censorship, because there is doubt toward the legitimacy of Mr. Ed Schröder's links on his website, is going to far - IMHO. In German terms like "Vorauseilendem Gehorsam" and "Schere im Kopf" are coming to my mind, but I don't know how to properly translate them to English.

And why was the link to PC!go with fritz 5.32 download not removed here? http://talkchess.com/forum3/viewtopic.p ... 15#p125415
and how many more links would I find, if I would start searching talkchess.com???
Di you join our forum just to post these gripes, or do you intend to be a genuine contributor?
Clearly, a sockpuppet.
