It might be limited now, but it looks to me like the start of a trend: software to help ML software to learn. My opinion is that this will become an important trend going forward. I think it will enable ML technologies that could well be better than NNs in various ways (e.g. more accurate, less resource hungry, better able to explain (or to extract an explanation from) etc) to do the thing that they can't do at the moment: learn things which are difficult to learn.
