Brainfish against H6 with negative contempt

Post by Nordlandia »

Hypothesis: Houdini 6 should play more draws when using negative contempt as it encourage draws from the early start.
Result: yes, by using negative contempt H6 scores better but still loses the match.

I will repeat this match in 5+5 TC, this time using minus 6 as contempt.

Match TC: 4+4 TC

Very interesting tournament. Nice to see what Brainfish can do. I am assuming Houdini was using an opening book also?

No opening book. It's an experiment.

More games is needed for conclusions.

SF default against H6 at negative 8.

This time opening book used at 16 plies.

TCEC draw rule at 35 moves instead of 40.

TC: 7+7
