Rybka 2.3.1 would had beaten Spike 1.2 even without an opening Book 8-)

I don't think so,at least not with this deadly margin 8-)
How about to see for yourself, run the same tournament with these two engines and let's see what happens.....

I don't have to run this match to find out that Rybka without an opening book and Spike with the best Opening Book or with one of your best Opening Book can NOT beat Rybka 2.3.1. Your Opening Book only contribute at the most 15% of the winning games, therefore, the outcome would have been the same more or less

How could you coclude this without testing, what makes you so sure?
Rybka 2.3.1 is awesome, but without a decent opening book or with a stuiped one,it will not beat Spike with this big margin.....

Where did I mentioned with the same margin? Rybka 2.3.1 without using an Opening Book will still beat Spike 1.2 with a score of 25 to 15 or better, since your Opening Book did NOT contribute more than 15% to the final result of Rybka 2.3.1
