Someone knows the correspondence diference in speed between
Athon 1200 and my Athon 2 cores 3800+, 2Ghz by core?
I am interested in run the Tony Hedlund positional test suite.

Hard to know, my rough guess would be that a single core of your X2 3800+ 2GHz would be guaranteed 2.0 times faster than the A1200 and perhaps as much as 2.5 times faster
See if anyone else has a different view - it's an interesting question

Thinking again, and looking at some of the Crafty benchmarks we've run over time on machines we've had, I'd go for 2.5 times faster as best guess. The factor of 2.0 I mentioned above is too conservative.....

Thanks, Ray, I thinked the factor was 3, because the SSDF hardware
have around seven years.
Well, Tony runs 10min for position, then I will run 4min for each position.

Yes could be as much as 3 perhaps, but your 4 min suggestion looks good
