, Our newest rating list 40/20 is now online. All links at the end of the posting as usual.
After a week of discussions about Strelka 1.0 beta and the clear statement of the experts: this is not a clone, we present the first stable rating of this engine. With now 358 games its 2742 Elos (+- 30 errorbar). This is a niveau near Glaurung1.2.1 2CPU and a bit under Naum2.1 w32 and Ktulu 8. I think the engine has a lot of potential and I hope Yuri will go on in programming and release soon a ready version.
The new DeepSjeng 2.5 2CPU has now 726 games and a rating of 2724 which is around 60 points better than DeepSjeng 1.6. As there are some statements the +120 Elos have been measured with the single version we made a lot of games with the single version this week. Now we can present also a stable rating of 2712 Elos which is 110 Elos better than DeepSjeng1.6 1CPU. On the other side it is only 12 Elos behind the dual version. Maybe GCP can give us a statement for this result.
Normally we do not test beta engines. But this week we have got a new version of Glaurung and the request of the author to take this version when testing single version. So we made 85 games with Glaurung 2 Epsilon/2 1CPU. It is too early for a stable rating but we think Tord is on the right way.
Our 40/120 list was also updated yesterday.
