I think that if fruit and crafty do not participate and if all the people who are mentioned have no objection to the participation of GridChess then nothing should prevent the participation of GridChess.

What is this? A program can take part if none of the parts that it was constructed from also entered the competition?

I would like to ask something that might illustrate my point.

If this were allowed and it won the WCCC. Who is the world champion of computer chess programming?
