CEGT 40/20 update (June 17th 2007)

Post by Werner »

Hi all :D ,

Our newest rating lists and games for download are now online. All links at the end of the posting as usual.

40/20
First time listed engines in CEGT are Rybka2.3.2 mp x64 2CPU and Rybka 2.3.2 w32 1CPU. The 64bit version has enough games for a stable rating, the 32bit version not.

Rybka232 mp x64 2CPU
This week we can present you a new leader of our list. With another more 25 elopoints the updated Rybka engine is clear in front. The engine won all matches against the 4CPU opponents. As you can see, Zap!Chess Zanzibar x64 4CPU reached 46 % aganinst 2.3.2 - 48% against 2.2 and 54% against 2.1.

Loop M1-T 2CPU
Loop M1-T 2CPU lost 5 points in comparison to our last list. It was the bad result against Rybka. So we think the rating will rise again.

Glaurung 2 Epsilon/4 2CPU
The new engine from Tord Romstad could not hold its start-rating. But with 2810 elos after 370 games the engine is 60 elo better than version 1.2.1. Congratulations to Tord. I think this can be a new candidate for our 40/120 list.

Genius 7
The new Genius 7 engine lost some points after 50 more games against Colossus2006a.

SpiderChess070525
Spiderchess version 070525 has now a more stable rating and is only 8 points under 2500. Martin Giepmans is working on the engine so perhaps next version is over the 2500 elo mark.

The engine rating compared wíth CPU using is:

4CPU: Zap!ChessZanzibar x64, Naum2.1 x64, Hiarcs11.1, DeepShredder10 x64, Loop13.6 x64, Zap!Chess Paderborn x64, LoopM1-P and Deep Fritz 10

2CPU: After the Rybkas (2.3.2, 2.2, 2.1) - ZapChessZanzibar x64, DeepFritz 10, Hiarcs11.1, LoopM1-T, DeepShredder10 x64, Hiarcs11

1CPU: After 10 Rybka-versions - Fritz10, Hiarcs11.1, Loop10.32f, List10.64f, Shredder10, Hiarcs11, TogaII 1.3x4

A big thanks to all testers as usual.

Thanks! Very good results so far.
I think this can be a new candidate for our 40/120 list.
For the 40/120 list, I think it is better to wait for Glaurung 2.0, which should be ready some time later this year. I expect version 2.0 to be stronger and more stable than the current development versions.

Yes - it's hard to keep up. We have the same problem. 8-)
