No, All winboard engines use their own unique startup options
(there is no standard, you have to read the readme.txt with the engine).
That's how I'm doing with the read me files of engines, but it seems some of the engines do not come with their own read me.Prophet is one of them and Joker is another.

You must have missed the hash options in Prophet's 'readme.rtf'. It's in there because I put it in! :lol:

I know what you're saying though. Some engines come with no readme at all.
Sometimes you can find out by running the engine in console mode and typing 'help' to display all options.
