After 10.Nh4, Nd4; if we play 11.Bd1, Black could play Nxe4, giving up a knight for two pawns plus a bind on our game.
I'm against Nh4. Look at this line more closely and you'll see the dangers.
No Graham, I think that sacrifice loses quickly for Black because he ends up giving up d file for white to come up through the middle.

Nick
No probs. We'll beg to differ, but that's okay. :)
Yep that's what makes human chess so fun we are all soooooooooo different!

I like first c3 but as the moves seems to be between c4 and Nh4 i prefer the last one.

Nh4!!

This is how we win. We play g3-f4-f5 and launch an attack. The key is that we have to avoid d5 from the opponent. Nh4 avoids that because after taking in d5, we can play Bf3 among other things.

The knight on h will be out of the game.
Black will have complete control of the middle with 3 center
pawns with 2 knights attacking white queen side with the
B and Q helping to control the middle. We can't open up
white's King side. Got to attack on Blacks Q side.

Best,

Gerold.
IN the above statement i meant the black two knights will
be attacking the White King side.
The middle is solid for now that's why i was thinking
a4 and let Black make the first attacking move.

Ray will be up in about 4-5 hours, so once he's up, I'll tally the votes then.

I did look at g3, but was more concerned about the hole it left at h3 once Black played Nd4. Swapping a bishop oh h3 off with a knight on g2 (which would likely have been possible) in a fairly closed position was not in our best interests. Just my take on it.

After Nxe4 12. dxe4 Qxe4 13. Nf3 Bc6 14. c3 Nxf3+ 15. Bxf3 we are fine.

Anyway, I don't think DD would play Nxe4. Rfe8 is the most probably move. In that case would follow 12. c3 Ne6 and that position is full of possibilities. I like more and more the idea of 10. Nh4. It is kind of risky anyway.

I change my vote to 10. Nh4. This game will be more entertaining with that move.
