Yes - I'll post it in the CCRL public forum in the thread regarding playoff matches. :)

Hi Graham,

I downloaded TLCV and tried to log in to watch EXchess' most recent match using the details given, but it says cannot connect to server. This is the first time I've used TLCV, so I am not sure if I am doing anything wrong. Do I need to register first or something? Or is it as simple as just putting in the address and port number (which I think I did OK)?

Thanks!

Hi Dan,

believe it or not, I'm not really a TLCV expert. I had to rely on a lot of help from Olivier Deville, Fonzy and my computer savvy son to get me broadcasting.
You shouldn't need to register. As long as your firewall and router permissions are okay, I'm pretty sure you should be able to connect.

Graham.

EXchess 6.20b 64-bit defeated Glass 1.9 64-bit by 6.5-3.5.

Glass will remain in Division 4 too.

Last hurdle for EXchess is a match against Delphil 2.9e.

This match is currently being broadcast live in TLCV.

Graham,

Silly question -- are these playoff games, as are all your tournaments, rated games for the CCRL?

Best regards,
Carl

Thanks! I've got my viewer configured exactly the same way (same address and port), so I think Graham's idea of the router permissions must be the case. Now that I think about it, I recall setting it up with rather restrictive permissions... I'll have to dig out the documentation and get those ports open. Looks like it would be fun to watch some of these tourneys in real time.

Hi Dan

In my case I entered the host and port and clicked connect. Firewall popped up, I clicked the box to let it have remote access. The little light to the right of Host turned green and it was off and running.

Best
