Not bad for DiscoCheck, despite the apparent stagnation (DC finished 2nd at the previous D3 tournament also). The level keeps increasing, so stagnating is improving:
* Gaviota, Crafty, EXcehss downgraded to D3 (from D2 previously). Probably a mechanical effect from more and more IvanHoe and Stockfish clones competing in D1...
* Also other engines improving. In particular, Pro Deo has made some significant progress recently, it seems.

PS: All that is to be taken with a grain of salt, few games, large error bars, etc.
Theory and practice sometimes clash. And when that happens, theory loses. Every single time.

Hi Graham,
Thanks for the tournament.

Staying ahead of Exchess, Arasan and ProDeo was a good result for RQ.

Thanks, Graham! It is great fun to see how EXchess plays at these longer time controls, and I enjoyed logging in daily to see how it was progressing in the tournament.

Fun for me too, but even better knowing that the engine authors are enjoying it as well.
