Dear Chess Friends!

WSET Champion is still not clear !
Note: The previous both games (at very slow time control: 1200 minutes + 1 minute) are ended as draw!
So...I hope all this mystery will be solved soon...!

More Details:
1) The planning duel (150 min + 30 sec per side) is already started and organizing by:
- Prof. Tom Casanovas: Komodo 8 x64 vs Stockfish MZ v1.0 x64
- Sedat Canbaz: Komodo 8 x64 vs Stockfish 040914 x64
2) We plan to run 50 games under these conditions (Perfect 2014t book; reverced colors...)
3) After 50 games, we plan to merge the played games by both Stockfish versions in one name
*The merged games by both Stockfish versions is planning to be called as: Stockfish MZ v1.0/040914

Even we will have possibility (in the final day),
To check which Stockfish version is doing better against Komodo 8

And I hope after our new duel, finely we will see who is the biggest Titan )!

For tournament conditions (more info coming soon):

GOOD LUCK TO BOTH TEAMS !

Thanks in advance for your voting !

Kind Regards,
Sedat Canbaz

My longtime friend Sedat, if these results hold up they will at a minimum make our testing and match events more interesting. We need competitive engines.

I think this tournament should be very interesting to those interested in correspondence chess. I'm very active in correspondence chess and I don't know which one to trust more, the latest Stockfish dev version or Komodo 8.

When they produce different moves, which engine is correct, which one is wrong. That's my current dilemma so I'll be watching your tournament closely.

Yes, these engines are very close.

Komodo 1288 (which is Komodo 8) had a very close batttle here with Stockfish

http://talkchess.com/forum/viewtopic.ph ... =&start=50

The result there was a narrow Komodo win 25.5 - 24.5 (+10 =31 -9)

Indeed...after Komodo 8 release,
The computer chess competitions become much more interesting and exiting!

Dear Leto,

Yes...

I have never played any single game so far in in correspondence chess
But however...in case of in correspondence chess, I think both engines can be used for analysing...
