a little bit surprised here by the one sidedness at this tc.

I have a request, write accurately about the tournament. As I read it is given

200 games - single core , ponder off
tc 15 min base / 15 sec inc
100 positions chosen at random from a 2500 position opening file, play from both sides

Please describe what the GUI, how much ram, how the system is used table bases.

The 200 game match is over.

That single core , ponder off , 256 M hash , with syzygy tablebases enabled , all other settings are default engine settings, there is no GUI. It's a private command line app (Exe) that executes the matches and it runs in the background. Tc was 15 min / 15 sec

The current match is 12 games, ponder off , 12 core , tc = 25 min (150000 centi-seconds) with increment of 5 seconds ( 500 centi- seconds). Same deal 256M hash , all other engine settings are default. Again , no GUI , but a custom ( and private ) command line app which runs the match in the background. Any other questions?, most of this was spelled out earlier here or in other matches I have run.

Are you sure about that? On the CCRL homepage it says:

Time control: Equivalent to 40 moves in 40 minutes on Athlon 64 X2 4600+ (2.4 GHz)

It actually s/b 14 min and 14 seconds - but I rounded up. 8-)

Crafty 19.17 BH 32 bit benches in 17 seconds on my machine on running Win 10 under Parallels , so I'm sure you can do the math as well as I can . An Athlon 64 X2 4600 2.4 Ghz is a slow machine for today - why the skepticism?

I mean that they don't seem to be using any time increment after each move. Just 40 moves in 40 minutes (which I assume is repeated after every 40 moves).
