I was not aware of all those you and Werner mentioned were belgian, but I did forget Fire.

I thought that Fire was from the USA, but I did not really know what country he was.
At the moment (besides the engines that I choose) will participate:

Code: Select all

-Cerebro
-ice
-Isa
-Orion
-Ruydos
-Zurichess
More than one engine allowed per author

- GUI : Arena 3.51
- Swiss system tournament by teams. The teams will consist of four engines from the same country. The engines that participate in the tournament will have to be classified in a previous classification tournament, that depending on the number of participants will have a system or another (round robin or swiss). In the main tournament there can be more than one team by country (example Germany A, B, C, etc.), the participation of these teams will also depend on the number of total engines.
- Time control: 40/40 (adapted to the CCRL benchmark).
- Ponder: off
- Threads : 1
- Default hash=256Mb,
- Endgame tablebases: Syzygy -- Nalimov -- Scorpio Bitbases -- Gaviota ---64Mb hash
- Resign is set to -5 for 3 consecutive moves where able.
- Updates will not be allowed during each tournament (each division)
- Open to all Winboard and UCI engines (free, private and commercial).
- The similarity tool will be used to determine whether or not an engine can participate (Engines allowed until 70% of moves match).
- Results will be rated only for engines already in the CCRL lists.
- All engines will use the same opening book limited to an 8 move depth.
- Engine authors can either post their wish for their engine to participate or contact through email (sergiomg24@hotmail.com) or private message. I will choose engines by myself too.
-Startdate of qualify tournament: When swiss tournament 40/40 finish
-Startdate of tournament: When Qualify finish
Deuterium would like to participate for Philippine team :)
How to qualify/enter? When will be the estimated start month?
Why not call it Chess Engine Olympiad?

Suggestions:
1. Remove any EGTB support. Lets see these engines play an ending on their own. Also EGTB setup time is put to zero and PC memory is preserved. Overall PC would run smoothly.
2. When (1) is followed, set Resign to -7 for 3 consecutive moves

I want to publish these games in CCRL so I keep the settings of EGTB.

Well, I prefer to keep the CCRL test options because my intention is to upload the games to the list

I would like to add Deuterium but the truth is that I have not yet verified if there are 4 philippine engines to form the team, I must see it

Thank you very much for your interest Ferdinand

If you can manage to put Hannibal under Philippine flag, then 4 engines can be achieved. Hannibal, Deuterium, TwistedLogic, and CDrill.
