Even Qxb7 looks visually not so awful, though of course it's early days.

Which network will Lc0 be using? Default or specialized settings? Also, what endgame tables will be available to your engines?

The positions where Stockfish shows high eval but they go nowhere are very interesting, even more so than in the other game where they appeared after the dust settles, but here Stockfish doesn't know what to do even with most material on the board and needs a lot of guidance.

Might as well follow Harvey's steps and leave up some conditionals

IF

5. Qxb7

THEN

5...Nd7

That's a pretty safe conditional. Any other move loses on the spot.

I'm very interested to see how this goes.

Me too! Back in 2017 I had realized that the fun times of correspondence chess were over, and it was very sad. Who would have thought that exploring moves like 1.g4?! was the next step?!

Sergio 384x30-t40-1808 with specialized settings: in-between default and "Kiudee." If you have any suggestions about settings, please let me know.

I have 6-men tablebases but I will download 7-men and put the ones that are needed on an NVMe SSD (if it gets to this point).

1. g4 d5 2. Bg2 Bxg4 3. c4 c6 4. Qb3 e6 5.Qxb7 Nd7

5.h3 came to just 0.14 away from 5.Qxb7 after 440M focused nodes in LC0.

6. Nc3 looks likely but still I'm planning to give this position at least several hours of analysis/evaluation.

if 6... Ne7 then 7. cxd4
if 6... Ng6 or other then need to analyze.
