The Tournament is continued with 6 new participants!
Although initially I announced only two ''special guest'', finally I reaalized that the following 6 engines (versions) can be perfectly tested within the framework of the current tournament while they are not strong enough for my next planned tourney.
The new participants are:
Beef: versions 0.2 and 0.2.2 (to compare with 0.3.6);
Cheng: versions 4.39 and 4.40 dev;
Marvin 4.0.1 (a new bugfix release);
Seer 1.2.1 (the author announces +250 elo improvment to ver. 1.1 in selfplay!).
For technical reasons, I was forced to create a new link to the broadcast on my youtube channel:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BzrkZn_lRVg
As usual, I will update standings from time to time (however, there are no more '''regular tours'', only new engines play to all others).

Congratulations to Jonathan Rosenthal for the Tournament victory and very impressive prpgress of Winter 0.9!
In the era of Neural Networks and Cov... when everyone is mesmerized by NNUE and Coronavi... Winter provides a nice example of how big progress can be made without NNUE (or besides NNUE) and even without changing the eval function.
Great results were also showed by the new versions of Combusken, Demolito, FabChess. Halogen, Koivisto, Marvin, Minic, Nemorino, Pedone, and Seer. I really hope that Marcin (Combusken author) will not leave the computer chess and will continue his work on Combusken that proved to be a very promissing project. The same hope is still alive in regard to Andy Grant and his Ethereal...
Thanks to everyone who followed the tournament!
So, my next tourney will be called ''Slow Ethereal Dissolution''. It will include various versions of Booot, Defenchess, Ethereal. Komodo, Minic NNUE, Nemorino NNUE, RoC, RubiChess, Schooner, SlowChess, Wasp, Winter, and (may be) other engines. I am going to start in a few days.

Hi Angle,
Pedone 2 = 3153 = +161
Nemorino 5.00 = 3094 = +136
To FCP Tourney-2020!
So I know what me await for my next FCP Qualify Tourney-2021.
Very strong Demolito results (with such small sources, genial).
Orion seems to be really very strong with NNUE.
Combusken is clearly improved since version 1.2.0 ... I saw that in own test-games.
Nemorino 6 and Minic 2.53 without NNUE seems to be improved too.
Great results for the LcO CPU version!!
And all the other new engines like Seer, Koivisto, FabChess, Halogen 8.1 and Beef with strong results.
Thanks for your nice tournament.
I had a lot of fun to follow and got interesting information.
Congrats to the programmer of Winter and to all others for the strong performance!
A very nice tournament!!
Best
Frank

Hi, Frank!
Thank you for your kind words!
I was a bit surprised by a failure of Beef 0.2.2 compared to other two Beef versions, May be just a trick of randomness due to very small number of games...
Thank you for your kind words!
My ratings are just relative numbers, so there is no sense comparing them with other rating lists.Frank Quisinsky wrote: ↑Tue Nov 24, 2020 12:31 amPedone 2 = 3153 = +161Code: Select all
