My understanding is that contempt has no effect on it with NNUE enabled. I merely switched back because I got asked a lot about it, and figured this would just quiet that question.

So that was the question you were worried about.Albert Silver wrote: ↑Tue Feb 16, 2021 5:32 amMy understanding is that contempt has no effect on it with NNUE enabled. I merely switched back because I got asked a lot about it, and figured this would just quiet that question.![]()

Albert, sorry to bother you but I just purchased Fat Fritz 2. I have no experience with Fritz 17 interface. Is there somewhere I can go for advice? A video or question and answer board?Albert Silver wrote: ↑Tue Feb 16, 2021 5:32 amMy understanding is that contempt has no effect on it with NNUE enabled. I like to play two computers against each other. Program A on one versus B on the other and using a PGN opening file for the start position. So far Fat Fritz 2 only runs using Easy Game. Is that for all chess playing regardless of difficulty? Or can Enter and Analyze be used or is that just for deep analysis only. If so I don't see where I can load a PGN file in Easy Game.
Thanks in advance. My last experience was with Fritz 8 so it's been a long time.

Nah, I had not been aware that embedding as SF did would cause such a ruckus, or that it was even an issue since it was in SF releases. I was misinformed, so once made aware of it, I took steps to resolve it. That was obvious, but contempt really was for that reason. Back in July or August I had asked about contempt in Discord and was told that it had no impact with NNUE enabled. So the only purpose of that change was to quash the questions about it.Ozymandias wrote: ↑Tue Feb 16, 2021 9:25 amSo that was the question you were worried about.Albert Silver wrote: ↑Tue Feb 16, 2021 5:32 amMy understanding is that contempt has no effect on it with NNUE enabled. I should probably do a video explaining this, but for a quick reply here:Paul Bedrey wrote: ↑Tue Feb 16, 2021 1:32 pmAlbert, sorry to bother you but I just purchased Fat Fritz 2. 1) Enter the program using Classic Menu (Enter and Analyze is the same)
2) At the top go to Engine
3) Select Engine Match or Tournament
4) In the match or tournament setup, on the left will be the option 'Database'. Choose it. Locate the PGN you want to use, and very important: put a check in "Use".
The other options should be fairly self-explanatory.

Misinformed by a third party, CB or self-induced?Albert Silver wrote: ↑Tue Feb 16, 2021 3:24 pmNah, I had not been aware that embedding as SF did would cause such a ruckus, or that it was even an issue since it was in SF releases.
