How many processor cores on your development machine? Hyperthreading doesn't count.

Unfortunately only 1 core :( but I'd love to get a dual core dual CPU system, but by the time I can afford that can probably get a quad core :)

I just recently upgraded from a Celeron 1.7ghz machine I built from scraps and dumpster diving parts to a new P4 3.0ghz w/ HT and 1gig of ram...

Thought it was pretty sweet, then looked at what other chess folks where using and I felt like I was in the dark ages again lol.. oh well I'm very happy with this machine.

A zero core machine

A revival kit for a zero core machine from the days just before microprocessors can be found at:

This was the very first personal computer. With only 256 bytes, it can't do chess. But its designer managed to fit 4x4x4 tic tac toe into it.
