When I use winboard and polyglot on a Vista machine to play on ICC, polyglot often crashes immediately on startup. I guess this happens close to half the time it starts up. SInce I have a batch file with a loop it eventually does start OK. Does anyone else have this problem? All was fine on my XP machine.

PolyGlot probably requires administrator privileges to function correctly in your context.
To automatically run PolyGlot with administrative permissions:
1. Right-click on the PolyGlot binary, and then click Properties.
2. On the Compatibility tab, click to select the Run this program as an administrator check box, and then click OK.
Hope this solves your problem.
