Something wrong with the score. Skipper only won one game but gets 1.5 points

Henk, this probably has to do with the Mc.Mahon system.

Nightmare was very lucky this time, two of its opponents were so friendly to let their clock run out of time in a drawn endgame, so it should probably have had 1 point less. Both Texel and Arasan and were missing and that also increases ones winning chances, especially Texel with his (180 core?) cluster is a force to reckon with. I expected LeelaRB to win the tournament, but somehow it didn't live up to expectations.

I didn't change much in the engine, I only made some changes (improvements?) in the TT replacement scheme and the SMP search. A few days before the previous tournament I found out that I have been running with a bugged version for several months, it is never wise to make changes without testing them thoroughly.

Some time ago I changed the base index calculation for the TT from (key % nclusters) to (key & nclusters - 1), this because it is faster and nclusters is a power of 2, at least it should have been a power of 2, but due to an error in the calculation it wasn't, and that messed up the engine completely.

Indeed it did not do that well. In the absence of Arasan and Texel I thought it could fight for the win, but at the end of the day the £100 GTX 1050 was probably not enough. A £700 - £800 RTX 2080 would have been a different story, but I don't have that kind of cash to be throwing at a PC just so it can play Lc0 at a high level. It is also a horribly flawed engine in many ways, as we saw in one game when it threw away a +40 advantage to end up drawing. Very frustrating engine also, for example where instead of making a pawn move to promote, it just aimlessly decides to shuffle pieces around for a while instead. Or else it decides to throw away pieces because it doesn't need them to secure the victory. Until it solves all those issues, it is not a top engine in my book.

Just wondering if Leela was playing the 6 piece syzygy tablebases, which improve her endgame play far more than traditional a/b engines?
I assume there was no book.
Thanks.
