Sure Dr. Wael you really think that Strelka is rated above 2700, and without testing it for yourself

If I were You I wouldn't bet too much money on it.
See the difference between Rybka 1.0 beta and Strelka. You can see that they are using almost same usage of memory. My guess is that it's probably a Rybka clone.

your link does not work
It works only after replacing hxxxxxx by http

Note that I do not know if it is a clone but it seems that the author want people to believe that it is a clone(otherwise I see no reason for the choice of the name that end with "ka" and why the 1 beta in his website).

Hi Uri

It is the original link by placing http, I made a mistake.
I think what the author meant was that Strelka is very similar to Rybka 1.0 beta. but also to other versions Rybka 1.1 version( 1.0 beta to 1.01 beta13d including Rybka 1.0 winfinder. The moves it considers are always the same as these Rybka versions.
As to how this was done I don't have the slightest clue .

Nothing strange with the engine name at all. Suffix "ka" is very common in russian and many other slavic languages. Ryba (fish) - Rybka (small fish), Strela (arrow) - Strelka (small arrow).

Discussion in Russian chess programmer's forum allows to suspect a high probability that some original Rybka's algorithms have been dissambled, understood and rewritten back to C-code. But it is became obvious after Sergey Markov statement, that Strelka is not Rybka's executable wrapper or recompiled disassembler sources.
