CEGT - rating lists update January 27th 2008

Post by Werner »

Hi all :-),

our updated rating lists are online and can be found under the attached links.

40 / 120:
After 262 matches we could include Bright 0.2c into our Quad-List:
10 Bright-0.2c 4CPU 2842 +34 -34 262games
The difference to DeepJunior 10.1 ist 20 and to Glaurung 2.01 23 points.
In our forum you will find the 2nd report from our First CEGT Marathon Championship: Rybka 2.32a 4CPU - Zappa Mexico 4CPU in the Marathon time control 40/400 and a new result from DeepShredder 11 x64 2CPU: http://husvankempen.de/nunn/phpBB2/view ... 2866f026ae

40 / 20:
This week we added nearly 1500 games to our list. We made a lot of games with the new Toga versions. See more in our list "Games of the week". In total our 40/20 list is based now on 217.139 games!

New engines:
We played 730 games with 2CPU-version of Toga II 1.4 Beta5c and this engine is at the moment only 20 points in front of the single version. And between these 2 engines we will find the 4CPU-version - but with only 82 games this rating says nothing. Nethertheless you see it´s not easy to implement smp with a possible +50 elo result. Of course we have to wait for more games as we have better results in our blitz list.

36 Toga II 1.4 Beta5c 2CPU 2888 +20 -20 730 games
42 Toga II 1.4 Beta5c 4CPU 2878 +54 -54 82 games
45 Toga II 1.4 Beta5c 1CPU 2869 +21 -21 646 games

Another new engine in our list is Booot 4.14.0 with + 158!! elos to the previous version after 241 games. Very good result till now and we will see next week if the engine can hold it.

Updated engines:
45 Toga II 1.4 Beta5c 1CPU 2869 (-2)
46 Glaurung 2.0.1 x64 4CPU 2866 (-5)
81 Deep Sjeng 2.7 4CPU 2808 (+2) after 310 games now

40 / 4:
We added 9274 games to our list which is based now on 257.668 games. Here we too tested the new Toga versions and we tried to bring as much engines as possible to 1000+ games.

New in the list are:
Toga II 1.4 beta5c 2CPU with 1250 games
Toga II 1.4 beta5c 1CPU with 1130 games
Cheese 1.1-------------- with 300 games

The difference here between single and 2CPU Toga seems to be to high (+70) - so we can hope for a better result in 40/20 next week.

30 Toga II 1.4 beta5c 2CPU 2906
60 Toga II 1.4 beta5c 1CPU 2837

A big „Thank you“ to all testers as usual! :)

Hi,

Is late better than never? Or is never better than late?

I was testing a utility I wrote on your 40/4 download pgn and it extracted 157 games from 2005-6 in which the same engine is listed for both White and Black. Seven engines were involved. Since the white score was 48.7%, it is likely that both engines were the same.

The 157 games (in the file sameengines.pgn) can be downloaded:
