Chess program Shredder 12 release date

Post by daniel71 »

Hello,

Stefan Meyer-Kahlen has told me during a support e-mail that Shredder 12 is due out in July, 2009. Looking forward to this version as I believe he has closed the gap from Rybka 3.0 :D

GREAT News!

Well done SMK. I doubt it is near R3 but it should surpass R2.3.2a

I REALLY hope he includes an opening book in the UCI though.

Soon ..., Do mean like the update we received to fix the bugs in Rybka 3 that I am still waiting for!? I wonder how many new releases we will come out before that happens ...

Typically, chess software programs release annual releases to sell to the mass market. They like their annual income cheques :)
