Statistical correlational analysis, source code analysis, pv output, something else?
Sorry if this question has already been discussed here, today is the first day I read about this engine.
Or do you doubt the rating is what it is claimed to be?

You know zero. Let's hope they remove this thread soon.mclane wrote:exactly...AdminX wrote:

Having said that, it is bust beyond belief. It should be interesting to see just how many of the cloners can fix it. We did......after 3 months.
Another zero I suspect.
Why one would want a Rybka that is already free is beyond me. Especially one as knackered as this one......I don't know.

BTW I already asked years ago, why are you always on the wrong side
regarding cloning issues?
If there is a clone you deny it, if there is no clone you see one?
Strange..

I tell you something Guenther. It is amazing when you look around just how much people want Ippolit to be crash free, multipv, and SMP just like the one we made.Guenther wrote:nope, but people tend to forget fast...mclane wrote:exactly...AdminX wrote:

It is quite amusing watching all the hackers and crackers thrashing about trying to make it work in any acceptable form.
Serves them right I think.
Right now Mr WildCrack and Mr Streaker are trying desperately to do something, (Maybe its a Russian thing...but that would be to forget Mr Uber) but alas noone is "immortal".
It took us all a while let me tell you.
In fact it is quite unrecognisable now. I could even rename it.......
Hahahaha
Anyway....there is something even stronger than our Ippolit.
Such is the price of "progress".
I guess it pays to be one step ahead of these people.

Re: New engine: Ippolit
Personally I 'doubt' the rating. I ran this thing on my cluster when it came out. It crashed way more than I would have expected. It was quite strong, but has some _obvious_ severe bugs in it. I got rid of it right after seeing how often it crashed. It might be "reverse-engineered" but it was not very well done if so.hgm wrote:The reliable proof is the rating, not? I can confirm our team made an SMP x64 version of Ippolit that crushes Rybka hands down.Christopher Conkie wrote:I tell you something Guenther. I went to the Ippolit site but i have found no executable to try. Only source code. Am i missing something?Christopher Conkie wrote: I tell you something Guenther. It is amazing when you look around just how much people want Ippolit to be crash free, multipv, and SMP just like the one we made.
You say "we made". I don't really understand what do you mean but i guess you have managed to compile it. Can you PM me an executable you've made?
Also some questions:
How the hell this engine occurred suddenly?
How did people know about its web page? Lucky guess?
Is this s Rybka 3 clone by means of a hex edited Rybka 3? Or the author of it has disassembled Rybka 3 and added some things to improve it? I find it tough to believe if that is the case.
What do you mean with SMP in your statement :" multipv, and SMP".
Why i always can't decipher what you are saying? Can you explain what do you meant above?Right now Mr WildCrack and Mr Streaker are trying desperately to do something, (Maybe its a Russian thing...but that would be to forget Mr Uber) but alas noone is "immortal".

What? Rybka 4?Anyway....there is something even stronger than our Ippolit.
After his son's birth they've asked him:
"Is it a boy or girl?"
YES! He replied.....

The ippo guys manouverd their stuff into to chesswiki.
Later it was removed from there
It is not an hex-edit(why would one hex-edit source code )
Its a revere engineered R3
