Could somebody send me the last release of Golem?

Post by swami »

Last time I checked, it's webpage is no longer active IIRC.

I'd appreciate if anybody could send me the latest version of Golem (which according to Dann, had some fantastically interesting play)

Yes, that was the same version Edsel had sent me. I was wondering if that is the latest one though...

I think it went up to 0.4 but that version was never made public.

I don't think so...
I have Golem 0.1 and Golem 0.4 downloaded regularly from G.Masciulli's site. So v0.4 had to be a public version.
But I must say that there are big differences in strength and playing style.
Golem 0.1 plays and interesting, human-like style but it's really weak, easy to beat.
However, Golem 0.4 is much stronger. At least, I could not beat it...

Golem 0.441 was the latest public release. I can see it easily on my
engines anthology pages and on my HD ;-)

I have just browsed in my older emails, and I'm not sure anymore that Golem 0.4 was a public version.
I had to write to Gianluigi Masciulli to send me the latest version, and that's how I got it.

I emailed Gianluigi Masciulli asking for Golem 0.4, but I never got a response from him. I too wouldn't mind trying out this engine.

I only had the chance testing Golem 0.1.

Where can I download Golem 0.4 or newer versions
like GOLEM 0.4REV41X?

Best,
