I think they should release a version of rybka for ARM processors, the final analysis, there are already some of that market by ...

1 GHz, it is quite cpu to get good results.

and obviously merited schedule for the VGA's, in CUDA, it´s is much stronger than any body CPU programming market and allows high-level languages ...

I wonder how the integer calculation of this A4 processor compares to i7 or i5 or even i3. Maybe it is closer to the Atom processors ... but even the Atom runs at 1.6 Ghz and newest ones have dual cores. I am not sure the A4 has much more processing power than the latest mobile phone processor which also runs at 1Ghz. I think we will soon find out, but for sure I was hoping the Ipad would be running some sort of Intel "i" processor or even the earlier Core 2 architecture.

I do not know who may be comparing that to a intel cpu icore seems to me outrageous.

Regarding the atom, proved to be quite bad in terms of energy and execution.

They say it's better than the cpudragon, because it is a newer version, more efficient, and consumes less energy.

compared to dual core, well, better for chess is not so portable.

If HIARCS mark a perfomance of +2900 in Argentina, I expect a decent engine in this gadget, exceeding +3000 elo.

PD: intel it's no wonder, in fact x86 is quite bad, for almost anything, but it is "cheap" and is backward.

$500 isn't a bad price at all. but the HP slate will have a much more powerful processor for those interested in that aspect.

i also wonder if remote rybka will be compatible with this device. if so, i just may splurge on it. it would make an awesome e-reader as well.

for 99.99% of potential customers of this thing, processor power will be a minor, very minor issue. If it runs smoothly, it's OK. It's a gadget after all.
