Interesting. I thought my customized Stockfish was the only one that spotted Qb1 as an interesting alternative to 42. Qa4...

I am not sure it is as strong as Qa4 but it is not that bad either!

Now that Bc2 by Anand was really far from optimal...

I do not agree that Bc2 was bad

I see that it is a draw and I do not understand the reason that topalov repeat again and again the same opening line that he cannot win.

I propose that you play the PV of your favourite engine on a chess board, and then tell me whether the positions towards the end of the PV are really won for White. You will be surprised.

Displaying "+1.XX" does not mean that the position is won. In this case, with unlike bishops and no way for White to make progress, it is simply a draw but the engines have a hard time to see that.
