That is unfortunate, I was looking forward to seeing Rondo in action. Let me know as soon as possible account information for Hannibal so I can log on and test everything before the tournament. I might be using my wife's new laptop, in which case I will send you updated hardware/OS info.CRoberson wrote:Rondo has withdrawn.

If you have an ICC account:

In the past guest have been able to watch the matches and chat on channel 64 with us.

Hi Charles,
>>In the past guest have been able to watch the matches and chat on channel 64 with us.
Actually I was about to ask about this. So channel 64 is where all the discussion about the tournament will happen? Including announcements for starting, etc? Or will there be a separate channel just for operators/programmers, etc? I am not advocating for that, just asking.
It says on the website that the first round starts at 9am Eastern Time USA (which is 6 am for me in California ) I would assume coming online a bit earlier is advised to make sure joining the tournament is done properly?
Regards,
Vlad.

Hi Vlad,
Yes, Channel 64 is the place to chat for all things. Yes, you need to be online before 6 am California time. Look at the bottom of the rules page and it tells how to join channel 64 and some other variables you need to set.
I'll be sending email to all participants in a day or two with more info. Please ensure that you read the rules. Especially, read the rule on kibitzing and test your engine for correct kibitzing. There exist some ICC variables that need setting to get it right. The variables are covered at the bottom of the rules page.
Best regards,
Charles
