Considering the beatdown that Stockfish 1.8 is having, I suspect that something is wrong with your configuration. Have you verified (for instance) that Stockfish is using all the threads you want it to use?
The reason I suspect a setup snag is the following:

Hi Dann,
How likely is it just statistical mumbo jumbo?

I have no idea. It's worth a quick check, though. Wouldn't take 2 minutes.LucenaTheLucid wrote:Hi Dann,

Of course it is using all 4 threads.Dann Corbit wrote:Considering the beatdown that Stockfish 1.8 is having, I suspect that something is wrong with your configuration. Have you verified (for instance) that Stockfish is using all the threads you want it to use?

This is an automated match. Which means I click "Ok" then game 1 starts, and the match is not stopping until game 48 is finished.
So how can the configuration suddenly be wrong when it seemed all fine and dandy in the first half of the match?
Btw, you can verify the nps and depth by just looking at the PGN on the website. This is from game 41:

Anyone knows what kind of opening book CEGT uses? Since Martin's tournament is almost a "bookless" tournament maybe that has something to do with it.Dann Corbit wrote:Considering the beatdown that Stockfish 1.8 is having, I suspect that something is wrong with your configuration. Its explained in main match thread.
When match was 25-16 Stockfish crashed in game 42 (and Rybka won for a 26-16). That game was restarted, and become a draw.
Still I think SF was in disadvantage in that game before crash. But i have no pgn game. Was lost in a reload.
Re: Stockfish vs Houdini - Long TC Match - LIVE BROADCAST!
I copied the moves but don't know how to convert in pgn. Only chance to draw is to build a fortress but it can certainly not be forced so white is winning normally.
