Now in no way am casting blame on the creator of Critter BUT last night for the 2nd time in a row (version 0.70 and then 0.80 last night) A virus was unleashed on my PC the first time I tried to analyze with my newly downloaded critter engine. (which I downloaded from the thread on this forum)
I know that sites get hacked all the time but Critter is the only one that has happened with.
I just thought the author should know.

I can only concur, no traces of any virus what so ever.
@Tom, what kind of anti-virus program are you using?

Sounds like a false positive to me, never had any problems with Critter.

That may be the case but it caused my computer to go haywire.

I am using AVG, but AVG becomes infected by this virus and I can't activate it while another anti virus software that I have never heard of or loaded starts scanning my computer.Martin Thoresen wrote:I can only concur, no traces of any virus what so ever.

I don't think it is a false positive because the computer becomes inoperable. I can not access anything because it tells me most files are corrupted.Trahald wrote:Sounds like a false positive to me, never had any problems with Critter.

Actually it is AVG. Do false alarms debilitate your computer? I am seriously asking the question.

Tom,
You sound very certain that this is Critters fault.
How possible is it that instead another file unrelated to Critter might carry the virus?
