I just installed FRITZ 12 on my laptop, and the program will just disappear...made no icon on desktop.
I have to do a search to find it and open it for a game....
FRITZ 12 installed fine on my other computers....

Anyone else having problems with windows 7...?
I just installed FRITZ 12 on my laptop, and the program will just disappear...made no icon on desktop.

There are plenty of problems with Fritz 12 / Fritz 13 on Windows 7. For example, when F12/F13 GUI displays open/save dialog box (when I want to choose the directory of engine to create or when I want to load engine parameters from file) the whole application crashes! It happens very often, but not always.
The solution is to run the application in Windows XP mode, but that will limit the amount of available RAM.

OK.....thanks Karol...so far my problem was pretty simple, and I was able to create a "shortcut" to the program that now appears on the desktop....
We will see what happens...

Right now FRITZ 12 just won three games against Junior 10...
