Thanks for your job Marek.
I've made a simple compilation of sting for linux x86-64. At least it seems to get around the same knds/s than SF in scid-vs-pc 4.6.
It's in this link, just in case anybody finds it useful:

BTW. I hope Sting SF will not be a toy for machines only.
How about a 64-bit build?

DaveWatch this spaceWe asked Jim to not compile sources directly downloaded from our repo to avoid fostering random bianaries of a still in development software. But we have nothing against derived engines of official release: sources based on an officially released version, like Stockfish 2.1.1, and then further modified by the author and, of course, with the name changed. I think Sting belongs to this second group.

I hope Sting SF can give people a pleasure in play (against Sting SF) and return a valuable analysis of chess positions.
I agree that it is good to know ELO difference with relation to other engines, but I believe that Sting SF should be compared with chess-players mainly.

Would you like to show one of the positions with analysis.
It may help me to tune my idea.
thanks

Re: Sting SF 1.0 is out
Hmm, I take my words back, I don't find these positions at all. Were probably only SMP randomness

Re: First compile in Chess2U forum.
I am waiting for such positions where "Sting SF thread" can miss.
I believe in my "revolution" idea, but remember that "Sting SF thread" inherits a very aggressive pruning ( I don't blame anyone or anything !), and the idea is very hot still.
If you want to help me i.e. yourself, please send me some negative examples of Sting's work.
Many thanks in advance!
