Can you post a screenshot?

I tested specifically this case and it worked ok.

Fedora 14 is less than two years old.

I'm not a guru about glibc versions, but compiling closed source stuff on an older box is a nice courtesy... Or perhaps this page is useful http://rjpower.org/wordpress/fun-with-s ... not-found/

cheers
I'm using Fedora 17 here and it works perfectly. My CPU does not have SSE 4, and this was correctly detected at runtime.

I'm getting a lot of crashes in the Deep Fritz 13 GUI. Specifically, when a tactics test suite is run Critter will reach position x and stop showing analysis. Under task manager it's still running, but the engine display box is blank.

Sometimes when I try to close Fritz it can't because Critter won't shut down.

I've tried this under a few Fritz GUIs and the same thing happens each time.

The previous Gaviota tablebase bug seems to be fixed on my Linux Mint 32 bit system, cheers. (I don't have the full set of bases installed though.)

No problem with Nalimov bases either that i can see - Scid or Scid vs PC.

Same here with me and Deep Fritz 11 GUI.
Critter doesn't stop working when trying to unload it, has to be shut down by task manager's process termination.
