Hi,
I am sorry, if this thread is a bit off-topic.
In the summer I have done some stuff for the LittleCompendium
and I wanted to release it.
But the problem is that I have tried to contact Thomas Mayer,
the programmer of Quark, who hosted my files, a couple of times
for the past 2 months, but he seems to have vanished into thin air...
I thought he was having a long vacation, but now this seems too long.
Maybe someone on the forum would know where Thomas is, maybe some
contact information apart from the mail I was using (the quarkchess one).
In the case I am unable to establish contact with Thomas in the near future, I will have to look, at least provisionally, for an alternative way of hosting the files (3 files, about 600Kb in all).
Maybe someone on this forum could kindly suggest where on the net I could upload the files without much difficulty.
I would be happy if the site is:
- chess-related (but it may also not be)
- more or less secure in any way
- the files could stay there a couple of years
Or maybe someone could actually host the files on her site?
Best regards,
Ludmil
Does anyone know where Thomas Mayer is?

I hope Thomas is fine and on really long vacation.
If you like, you can upload the files in cpw, you only need to become a member there. See left hand menu "Pages and Files", the (+) allows uploading files.
We have 1.63 GB currently available ...

Ps. In case you are not aware, there is already a small stub about you ...

Re: Does anyone know where Thomas Mayer is?
Hi, Gerd.
Many thanks for suggesting!
I think I will wait just a couple of days more, maybe
Thomas will show signs of life again...
In the meantime I will have to convert my doc files to pdf (because in the
past Thomas was doing this for me).
I am surprised you know more about me than myself:)...
I do not think I deserve a web page, even a stub..
BTW, Isichess was one of the mythical engines I had waited to be released for a long time.
Many thanks again for suggesting.
Best regards,
Ludmil

that's fine. Your eval compendium is highly appreciated, and therefor mentioned from some evaluation pages in cpw. And each author of such papers deserves a wiki page
If I have written something wrong about you, please send me a pm, so that I can correct it.
Thanks,
Gerd

Re: Does anyone know where Thomas Mayer is?
if you need webspace I could host the files for you on my olympuschess.com site or I could create a seperate share or subdomain for you.
