Not sure if it qualifies as serious, but you can get The Crazy Bishop:

does it have real playing levels ? i do only see a level from 1-100.

for a chess player this is not serious.

i thought it would have average time controls up to 3' or
40/120 or 60/60 or at least some major blitz levels ?!

chess partner has 60" average and some blitz stuff.
genius has all the serious time controls.

there is a problem with chess genius not changing from the test-mode into the normal mode after it was bought. so chess genius is in the moment not in the market. issues will be solved soon.

Never got a chance to get the early Chess Genius release, but will wait a few more weeks for it to be released again.

Best online app for FICS is Chess Club, missing certain features that Chess Mobialia (Android) or ICC chess app on iOS has. WP8 is a new direction that has only been around for < 6 months so I suppose developers are still getting to grips with it. I have installed many chess apps on my WP8 Nokia Lumia 920, but only kept Chess Club and ChessPartner that I use daily.

Yes, I hope that developers will see the potential for making quality fairly priced apps on probably the worlds 3rd most popular mobile operating system as a good business case.
