Sorry, I don't know a lot about this app but I believe it does support human-computer play. Internally it is using version 14.2b of Arasan, modified to run in-process with the app and to conform to Windows 8 app restrictions. But Martin did all the porting/integrating.

benchmark for machines running chess genius:

genius-benchmark
1.a3 a6 in analysis mode.
output

Nokia Lumia 620 (windows phone 8), 1 Ghz:
0.07 11 Nc3 d5 d4 Bf5 Bf4 e6 e3 Nc6 16937117 in 1'4" 264.642 NPS
0.01 12 Nc3 d5 e3 Nc6 Nf3 Nf6 Be2 Bg4 85517667 in 5'38" 253.010 NPS

Samsung Note2 (android 4.1.2), 1.6 Ghz :
0.07 11 in 39" 434.285 NPS
0.01 12 in 3'21" 425.461 NPS

the total NPS is always the same. only the time and NPS changes.

I see. thanks. one can sum up that genius under windows phone8 is nearly 1:1 related to cpu speed.
e.g. lumia 620 (1 Ghz) and Lumia 920 (1.5 Ghz) and Samsung Note2 (1.6 Ghz) although different OS, order themselves in an appropriate way of the mhz/ghz the mobile speed is giving them.

Hi, I have made a few games on my Nokia 820 against my other chess programs - and I think, ChessGenius is completest program and at the Moment the strongest local engine.

The opponents do not have a real time control so I tried to take equal time on CG for the max Settings for the opponents. I have ChessPartner too which is too a complete chess program but has a much weaker engine.

I hope too for some stronger new engines. I have made a game on my old Windows Phone 6.5 with Fruit 2.1 which is much stronger than CG on my new Nokia. The old phone runs only with 800 MHz,
