disapointing bench of the xiaomi mi2 and the nexus 4 mobile.

i guess the xiaomi mi2 has very high antutu benchmarks due to the
adreno GPU, but lousy normal values.

i have no idea why the nexus4 is not so good. the tegra3 lg 4x hd has a much better chess benchmark.
Think you already have the Google Nexus 4 result in this post.

Yes. But the results look strange. Why so low? The values of the krait cpus are lower then the tegra2 scores ? Can't believe this. Maybe something went wrong while benchmarking. E.g. only 2 cores were used... another test would be good.

I just benched my new Galaxy S4 and it seems it was kind of low at around 450 knps. I set 4 threads and 1 GB hash.

Shouldn't this one be higher? It has 4 cores at 1,9 GHz.

not for chess.
thanks for the result. as it seems the new mobiles mainly concentrate on
better GPU power. e.g. the adreno GPU stuff is faster then the tegra3 graphics stuff. but the real power for integer calculation has not increased.
e.g. when they double screen resolution from HD to FHD they need faster GPU. this all does not help for chess.

thats my guess. it could of course be something different. that the compilers are not yet capable to produce stuff for the new mobiles because the new hardware is not accurately used.

i thought the nexus4 should have better results then the tegra3, but... as you see all those antutu leaders are for chess a little disapointing. i wonder why the note2 is so fast...

are you sure this is really 4 cores and not 2 ?
if the result is true, it shows that the companys do not increase integer power of the mobiles anymore, and instead concentrate on graphical stuff.

this has an advantage to us: we don't have to buy new mobiles anymore to get a faster device for computerchess :-)))

It definitely should be higher as the Note II has an inferior processor yet has a much greater node speed than 450knps.

All the cpu benchmarks show that the s4 is much faster than the note II. Maybe something is wrong?

The xiaomi mi2 and the nexus4 also have disapointing values .
The mobiles do Not make Progress concerning this.

I guess we have to wait for the tegra4.

The Usual benchmarks Measur graphical Speed.

xiaomi and nexus have weak processors. Remember the note II gets 714knps. How is that when it has weaker processor than s4 (it has stronger processor than nexus 4 and xiaomi though).
