Do we have some data for devices using latest CPU such Snapdragon 600 (Samsung Galaxy S4) or latest exynos A15 (Google Nexus 10) ?

The Google Nexus 10 only has two cores so you wouldn't expect it to compete with a 4 core processor.

For the Nexus 10 I got 480 KNs using both cores at the default clock speed of 1.7 ghz

Since this was latest generation, I thought that it would still be faster even with less cores.

The fastest is the note2 from samsung. Its also a big mobile. Like a phablet or tablet. When i see a faster one i will maybe replace the note 2. I wonder how good the htc one x plus is. It has a faster tegra3 platform and more speed.

Well, I am currently evaluating 2 tablets :
- Samsung Galaxy note 8 which I believe should provide the same nps than the galaxy note 2
- Toshiba Excite Pro which is the first tablet available to use the Tegra 4

I like small devices so if the Excite Pro is "only" 2 times faster than the Tegra 3 which is my understanding, it should have nps around 900k which is only 26% better than the Galaxy note 2/8 which uses th Exynos 4412.

The Exynos 4412 seems really good for chess

If tegra4 is twice as fast for chess. If.
Yes. The note2 is a unique tool for us chess nerds.

I have read the toshiba tegra4 pad gets too hot. Slows down or even crashes.

Thanks for your answer.

It's probably safer to go with something existing and known.
Can you confirm tha the Samsung Galaxy note 8 has the same CPU than the Galaxy Note 2 ?

Technical data sheets say the cpus and mhz are identical. But i had no chance so far to verify it with a benchmark.

It is a nice tablet but as written on page 17 of this threat, it uses a Snapdragon S4 CPU which should hit about 450 kn/s.

So it seems tablets with Exynos 4412, should perform much better (714/450 => about 58% better)

You have also the HP Slatebook x2 who use the Tegra 4.
