Two great losses in five weeks: Jim Abblet and Ingo Bauer. :(

IPON was one of the great things in the last couple of years.

I am sure Ingo will come back.

Thanks, Jesus.

One fewer tester, one less list - this is not good for the CC community. What reasons did he give for quitting, anyone know?

That was about the only list I felt was done correctly.

Capital punishment would be more effective as a preventive measure if it were administered prior to the crime.

Nothing that serious. I am just not "burning" that much for computer chess as some years ago and became a bit anoyed about justifying a free service.

I continue with testing (maybe a little less and more relexed regarding the piciked engines), I will just focus on my and a few friends fun and might do some beta testing from time to time (in case someone is asking).

Bye

I know all about having to justify a free service. Thanks for your efforts Ingo, maybe we will see your list back again sometime in the future.

In the ever-increasing noise around computer chess IPON was one of the few dependable sources where quality kept up with quantity.

This is a loss for our community.

I'm having trouble justifying a non-free service :-)

Good luck and have fun, Ingo :)
Testing without fun is a real drag, I know from experience.
Thanks for all your efforts!

Best wishes,
