And.... I'm done.

Post by Peter Skinner »

Hello everyone,

It should come as no surprise to anyone with my lack of activity on this forum the last 18 months that I've been slowly moving away from Computer Chess.

It's been a fun 20+ years, but like most things, it has come to an end. Other than helping Robert with Windows builds of Crafty, I'm going to be finished with this game we all like to play. My heart's just not in it anymore, and I quite frankly no longer have the time.

I will pass the CCT torch over to someone else, including the domain name, as it belongs to the community, and will continue to host if need be. Should you want to take over that event, email me or message me on this forum and we can arrange something.

So in short, thank you for some great memories..

Peter
I was kicked out of Chapters because I moved all the Bibles to the fiction section.

Sorry to see you go, Pete.
Thanks for the many things you've done to help the computer chess community.
I hope that we can still annoy you regarding new Crafty compiles?

Cheers,
Graham.

You will be missed, Peter. May this retirement turn out to be temporary.

Thanks for all you have done.

I know the feeling, it is the same with me. My role in CCRL has been very minor for a long time now in that I run matches only once in a blue moon. The interest and enjoyment isn't there any more. A bit of chess960 from time to time, but that is it.

Of course Graham.

I will still be doing Crafty compiles, but that's about it.

That's my issue. The fun just.. left..

Sounds odd, but it's the way it feels.
